The new Samsung Galaxy Folder 2, A flip phone that runs Android.

After appearing in several leaked images , the Samsung galaxy folder 2 is now finally official.
The device is Samsung's latest android powered flip phone. It sports a 3.8 inch 800x480 display , an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing shooter for those selfies. In terms of performance , the galaxy folder 2 packs in a quad core 1.4GHz processor , 2 gigs of RAM and 16 gigs of internal memory which can also be expanded via a microSD card. What powers the phone is a 1,950 mAh battery which is essentially a small battery but good enough for the device it is powering. There are also two sim slots in the Galaxy Folder 2 for those of you out there who travel a lot or just simply prefer the data plan of one sim while the voice plan of the other sim.

On the software side , the phone is running on Android with Samsung's own user interface o top of it. Being a flip phone , the Galaxy Folder 2 is equipped with a number pad (just like in the old days) but on top of that also includes button for navigating through the android interface like the back and home key.

The details of its pricing or availability are still scarce but what we do know that the phone will initially only be available in China after its launch in the same country. If we were to speculate , the Folder 2 in my opinion would not make it outside of China and one would have to import the device in order to feel the nostalgia. This isn't surprising as it happened with Samsung's last flip phone too but its still rather disappointing.
